Hello, my name is Steve Kelly and I am one of the owners at the Brewers Apprentice. Christmas is not too far away now and it’s time to start thinking about work do’s and what options are out there. Myself and my Head Chef have just put together our delicious 2010 Christmas menus for you to have a look at.

Our aim at The Brewers Apprentice is to offer you a dining experience that caterings for all of your group’s requirements, within the budget that you would like to work to. As it can be difficult to arrange events like this, we offer a professional service that takes all of the hassles away from you so you can have a more enjoyable function. This is our fourth year of Christmas functions and it is definitely a speciality of ours as we offer a choice of either a set menu or our very popular gourmet grill menu. The gourmet grill menus are presented as more of a buffet style so the guests can have as much or as little of what is offered. Both menus cover a very appealing selection and if you would like to alter them in some way then that is also an option.
Or I can come up with a personalised menu designed with groups requirements in mind.

So have a look over the menus I have provided for you and I look forward to discussing them further if the opportunity arose.

Roasted kumara, bacon, red onion and spinach salad w lemon zest and herb dressing

Green leaf salad w cherry tomatoes, garlic croutons, feta and roasted garlic aioli

Freshly baked bread basket w chutneys and pickles

Lime and Italian parsley grilled chicken w button mushroom sauce

Pork and sage sausages w apple peanut relish

Slow roasted spring lamb w mint and tomato salsa

 

Dessert

Old fashioned apple and blueberry strudel filled with almond frangipane served with cinnamon brandy custard

Brewers Apprentice tasting platter – Monteith’s golden battered calamari, wild pork meat balls, cured salmon, smoked salmon pate, farm house cheese fondue, chutneys and grilled ciabatta

 

Mains

Thai beef salad w glass noodles, red pepper, cashew nuts, bok choy and lime dressing

Roasted kumara, bacon, red onion and spinach salad w lemon zest and herb dressing

Gourmet potato, spring onion, whole seed mustard and egg salad w chive aioli

Slow roasted Scotch fillet w red wine jus

Champagne ham w rock sugar and ginger glaze

Pork and sage sausages w an apple tamarillo relish

 

Dessert

Baked chocolate pudding w liquid centre

Old fashioned apple and blueberry strudel filled with almond frangipane served with cinnamon brandy custard

Mains

Garlic and Italian parsley filled chicken kiev on a lemon, feta and spinach sweet potato mash w tomato chilli salsa

OR

Bourbon and mustard glazed ham off the bone on grilled green beans w parmesan and new season gourmet potatoes and citrus jus

All mains are served with a selection of seasonal vegetables, french fries with aioli and summer green leaf salad.

 

Dessert

Lemon tart w vanilla bean crème fraiche and anglaise
